Note: SONOFF R5 smart switch requires an "eWeLink-Remote gateway (NSPanel Pro, MINIR4, MINI R3, M5, B05-BL, B02-BL) which can be used with the R5 remote control to realize two or multi- way control without wires, even if the eWelink gateway is offline or the Internet is not available.
The "eWeLink-Remote" gateway and the sub-device work as the Zigbee ecosystem. You can add the sub-device to any of the gateways to make the device communicate with different protocols, which means you can also control the SONOFF device without the "eWeLink-Remote" - the gateway function by setting the smart scene on the APP.
